Hi, I’m Velvet, the baker behind these wonderful treats. I am a military spouse and mother of four amazing children. I have always been a baker and love learning new skills at each new base we go to. While we were stationed in Germany I was spoiled having French macarons available anytime. When we moved back to the states I decided that I would teach myself to make them. I finally perfected them while I was pregnant with our youngest little Miss Madilyn. I love baking and seeing how much others enjoy my treats always makes me smile.
This is Miss Madilyn. She has been with me for my macaron baking experience, from the time I was pregnant, to having her wrapped on me while baking, and now to her “helping” me in the kitchen. She is my inspiration, so how can I not name my business after her. Maybe one day she will be the baker as well!
My life wouldn’t be what it is without my family. My husband is my biggest support and also my hardest critic so that I always give my best. My three boys are such great enthusiasts of my business that I always feel encouraged (although I think they miss getting to eat all the macarons.) I have such great support through my parents, siblings, and family-in-laws that it has been a pleasure to start bringing these delicious treats to you.
